FROM SIDE JOB TO SHORE INSTITUTION

The Pool & Spa Doctor started in 1979 with a math teacher who loved building pools.

Phil DellaPietro Sr. taught full-time in Neptune, NJ and spent his summers installing pools for families up and down the Jersey Shore. Over time, those summers turned into something bigger. He retired from teaching and built The Pool & Spa Doctor into a full-time business, one yard at a time.

From the time he was a kid, Phil Jr. was on the job sites, learning the trade from his father and the crew. By the time he took over the business, there was nothing about a pool project he hadn't already seen. He runs the company today with the same installation team that worked alongside his father, holding the same standard of work that built this company's reputation over four decades.

Phil Sr. passed away on February 13, 2023. His name and his work are part of everything we do.
